Battle of Bosworth wines are made in McLaren Vale, one of Australia's most reputable winemaking regions, and this Shiraz is a stunning example. It's called 'Puritan' because it is has no added preservatives, and the grapes used to make it are organically grown. It is also suitable for vegans as there were no animal products used in the filtering process.
Blueberry, blackcurrant and plum flavours make this a great match for lamb, and it will also go well with hearty stews, roasted vegetables and barbecued food.
Fun Fact: This wine takes its name from the Battle of Bosworth, fought on Bosworth field in Leicesershire, UK, in 1485. Joch Bosworth adopted the name to mark his family's own battle in converting their winery to organic winemaking in 1995. His efforts have not gone unnoticed and Joch is now considered one of the most important organic winemakers in Australia.
