Chianti Colli - Piantaferro
|ALCOHOL BY VOLUME: 13.5%||GRAPE: SANGIOVESE, CABERNET SAUVIGNON|
|VINTAGE: 2015||REGION: TUSCANY, ITALY|
This bold Chianti has intense flavours of raspberry, black cherry, toast, vanilla and leather, wrapped in a full and luscious body with silky smooth tannins.
Adventurous but not overbearing, it is excellent with beef brisket, bean stews and gravy-based dishes.
Fun fact: Chianti is the preferred wine of Dr Hannibal 'The Cannibal' Lector who in 'The Silence of the Lambs' claims he ate a victim's liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti - not a match we'd recommend.
